Sophie joined our herd in 2024 from Redwood Hills and quickly became my heart goat. From the moment she arrived, her sweet temperament and graceful presence set her apart, making her an instant favorite. She was shown lightly as a dry yearling, giving us the chance to appreciate her structure, balance, and dairy character in the ring.

Sophie recently freshened for the first time, and we couldn’t be more excited! Her genetics are already making an impact—her daughter, Dawnridge RHKR You’re So Vain (Carly), is the very first homebred American Alpine born on our farm. Carly carries on Sophie’s exceptional qualities as well as the award-winning lineage of Redwood Hills. Watching Carly grow has only deepened my appreciation for Sophie, and my excitement for the future of her offspring. We anticipate her kids will bring the same combination of temperament, elegance, and dairy potential to Dawnridge Ranch.

E/E – This doe has been DNA tested by the UC Davis Veterinary Genetics Laboratory for Alpha‑S1 Casein. The results help us understand how her genetics may influence the protein and fat levels in milk produced by herself and her daughters. Higher Alpha‑S1 Casein is associated with creamier milk and better cheese-making, while lower levels may be easier for some people to digest.
