Compost Application – We are adding compost to rebuild degraded clay soils, increase organic matter and carbon storage, and establish deep-rooted pasture for sustainable grazing. This also reduces dust and improves soil stability on our sloped fields.

Hedgerow Establishment – A double-layered hedgerow will be added along our southern boundary to support soil health, reduce dust, provide a biodiverse pollinator habitat, and offer sustainable browse for livestock.

Prescribed Grazing – Through carefully managed multi-species rotational grazing with our horses, dairy goats, and chickens, we will improve pasture sustainability, enhance soil health, and promote plant diversity. This approach also helps reduce species-specific parasites, supporting overall livestock health.

Tree & Shrub Planting – Fruitless mulberries trees and native Valley Oaks will be planted across the property to provide shade, forage and wildlife habitat. The trees will also sequester carbon in an effort to support long-term environmental resilience.
