Goat Play Dates & Fundraising Opportunities

Pricing & How to Reserve
- Our standard event rate is $100 per hour; however, for a limited time we are offering a discounted school rate of $75 per hour for the actual event time.
- Setup and breakdown usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour before and after the event, for which we charge a flat fee of $50.
- Round-trip mileage from our home to your event location is calculated using Waze and at the current IRS reimbursement rate (2026 is $0.725 per mile)
- To reserve your date and time, we request a $100 retainer, to be paid by check. Once the retainer is received, we will officially hold the date on the calendar for your event. We do understand that plans can change, and we are happy to work with you to select another date with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice of the event being rescheduled. However, if the event is fully cancelled, the retainer cannot be refunded. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel due to an emergency on our end, we will provide as much notice as possible and refund the deposit in full.
Setup & Space
- We will provide the pens and all goat-related supplies. However, we do ask that the event manager provides a shade structure (minimum 10’x10′), one table, and four chairs. If these items are not available, we will need to bring our trailer or a second vehicle, which will double the mileage fee for your event.
- To keep the goats safe and comfortable, the setup area should be free of toxic plants, chemical sprays, treated grass, or tanbark. A dry, untreated dirt area or untreated and non-mulched grass works especially well, if available.
- If the event takes place during a rainy period, it may be necessary to use pine shavings to keep the area from getting muddy. Each bag of shavings costs $10, and our pen setup typically requires three or four bags. We will confirm the need for shavings as the date approaches. During the event, we will keep the pen as clean as possible, and any shavings or manure will remain onsite for you to compost, use for mulch on plants, or place in green waste.
During the Event
- The safety and well-being of all kids – both human and caprine – is always our top priority. For this reason, we do not allow attendees to feed the goats. While feeding is very well-intentioned, it can cause goats to become overly excited, which may lead to jumping on people. Additionally, goats may nip when food is involved, even if they are otherwise gentle. Keeping feeding off-limits helps ensure a calm, positive, and safe experience for everyone throughout the event.
- If the goats need a short break at any point during the day, we may briefly close the pen so they can rest and reset.
- We are happy to collect tickets or mark attendance at our booth if needed, though we are not able to collect money directly from attendees.
Giving Back to Your School or Community
- We generally bring a small selection of our handmade goat milk lotions, shampoo bars and/or soaps made with milk from our own herd to our events. These items will be available for purchase through an online payment option such as Venmo, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated back to the school or community group as a thank-you for welcoming us.
- This allows families a chance to take home a unique, natural goat-milk product that’s gentle on skin and made right here on the farm, while also supporting your group.
